Congress complaint leads to EC directive: "BJP's video targeting muslims to be removed"
Tragedy struck near Patna railway station as a fire engulfed three buildings of hotels, claiming the lives of three individuals and leaving 15 others injured. The blaze, which reportedly started at Hotel Pal, rapidly spread to adjacent structures, including Hotel Amit, exacerbated by strong winds. Among the victims, one body was discovered at Hotel Pal, while a mother and her daughter were recovered from Hotel Amit. Firefighters battled the flames for over two hours, deploying 7-8 fire tenders to bring the situation under control. However, fire brigade officials warn that the casualty count may rise as the extinguishing operation continues.
In a separate incident in Mumbai, a 70-year-old man identified as Pannalal Vaishya succumbed to burn injuries sustained in a fire at a grocery shop in Antop Hill area. The fire, which broke out late Wednesday night, resulted in complete burn injuries for Vaishya, who was found trapped on the upper section of the shop. Despite efforts to rescue him and douse the flames within 20 minutes, Vaishya was declared dead upon arrival at Sion Hospital. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, with preliminary reports suggesting the involvement of cylinder blasts on the upper floor of the structure.
